Children's Chime Choir

Linda Johnson, Director of the Children's Chime Choir, has enjoyed ringing in the adult bell choir for about 10 years and thought it would be nice to give the youth an opportunity. She started up the Children's Chime Choir about 3 years ago, and is amazed at how fast children pick up on new skills. Linda says the children are a joy to work with and a wonderful addition to worship.

The Children's Chime Choir is for youth ages 3rd grade and up. They play 2-3 octave music depending one the number of ringers that they have. Linda tries to make practices fit around Confirmation schedules and Lenten services. The Chime Choir practices weekly on Wednesday evenings, from 5:15 - 5:55pm, during the school year from September - May. They play once a month, usually the second Sunday of the month, at one of the worship services. Reading music is not a requirement - they can learn in the choir. If your child would like to become a member of the Chime Choir, please contact Linda Johnson.
