Senior Fellowship

Sr. Fellowship meets on the second Thursday of each month, from October - May. We take a bus trip in September and June to a variety of interesting places in the Twin Cities and surrounding areas. On Sr. Fellowship Day at church, health assessments for seniors begin at 10:45am; the luncheon is at noon and a special program at 1:00pm.

Cost of the luncheon and program is $7. Lunch includes a hot meal, rolls or bread, vegetable or salad, dessert and beverages.

The Senior Ministry Committee coordinates the ministry of Como Park Lutheran Church to seniors. 

Sr. Fellowship meets on the second Thursday of each month, October - May. Their service projects include making quilts; magazine exchange (share the ones you have read and take new ones from the table in Fellowship Hall), Christmas cookies for our members who are in care centers, assisted living apts., and those that are home-bound; used eye glasses for the local Lions Clubs for New Eyes for the Needy.

Quilters

The quilters meet every Tuesday at 9:00am for about four hours. They make quilts for Lutheran World Relief and local agencies and shelters. The quilts are displayed on the backs of the pews for our Thanksgiving Eve worship service, and then are distributed afterward to all agencies. All are welcome to join - contact Martha Yonker if you are interested.

The quilters are always looking for donations of sheets, blankets, pieces of fabric, and yarn for their projects. Please bring your donations to the church office during the week, or to the Welcome Desk on Sunday mornings.

Wednesday Shopping

Every Wednesday morning at 10:00 a.m., Mike drives the bus to Target so that homebound members and non-members have the ability to go shopping for groceries and other staples.
Please call the church office at 651.646.7127 on Monday or Tuesday to reserve your place on the bus.
