Linda Johnson

Linda is a life long member of Como Park Lutheran.  She is married to Jim Johnson and they have four children: Joyce, Maggie, Will and Eddie.  She grew up in the neighborhood, and graduated from Como Park High School.  Post high school she received a Legal Secretary degree, Associates in Liberal Arts, and an Associate RN degree.  After nursing school she worked at Regina Nursing Home in Hastings, MN, for one year; then she was employed by Regions hospital in the Pediatric Department until the birth of Joyce.  After Joyce was born she returned to on-call at Regions, and she took a part-time position at United HealthGroup.  After Eddie was born Linda decided to stay at home, and she continues to help run the family business.

Besides the work of a house-wife, director of family transportation, and running the businesses, she stays busy volunteering at the kids' schools.  When free time is available she enjoy spending time with the family, going to the cabin, biking, reading, bowling and scrapbooking.

Linda started to ring bells on a Tuesday morning in 1999.  She has also been a member of the Wednesday evening bell choir for 8-9 years.  Over time, and with several words of encouragement from long-time member Myrna Huebsch, Linda started the Children's Chime Choir in 2005. She wanted to give the youth yet another opportunity to participate in worship.  The choir performs songs that are 2 or 3 octaves - depending on the number of players available.
