Bryan Simon has been a member at Como Park Lutheran Church for 24 years, and has seen the congregation change and evolve a lot over that time. His sense of call to ministry led him to enroll as a Masters of Divinity student at United Theological Seminary of the Twin Cities. During his time there he felt call to working with youth and the young adults of congregations. During this discernment, a position to pursue his call became open at Como Park Lutheran, and he was able to pursue his calling in a more direct fashion. He will graduate in May of 2010 with his M.Div. and hopes to pursue youth ministry going forward in life. He will be married to his partner Johnanna Ganz in August of 2010.
"It all comes down to really letting the youth get into the stuff that makes up our faith, and our denomination; letting them discover, some for the first time and some discovering anew, why the christian faith has endured. Their questions are the questions that the world as a whole will face in the coming years, and they need to be allowed the space to explore and learn for themselves what CPLC and the church is all about."
